Parma Rishel began dancing at the age of five. Parma likes to say that in real life she is a nurse. She completed a Master’s Degree in Nursing with two foci, Nursing education and Clinical Nurse Specialist.

Parma began teaching Pre-Ballet at Ballet Theatre School in September, 2005. As a dancer from the age of 5 and a mother of dancers, she found it difficult to locate dancewear on the Mississippi Gulfcoast. In March, 2018 Parma opened Dance for Joy Dancewear. Her goal is to provide quality dancewear to meet our coast dancers’ needs. This includes items for dancers from early childhood through adults.
